Hello subscribers! I am excited to share that I will be speaking on “The Hope That Does Not Disappoint” at St. Ann in Metairie on November 12 at 7:00 p.m. This will take place in the church and is open to the public. Above is the flyer they made for the event.
St. Ann Church & Shrine is a pilgrimage site in our archdiocese for the Jubilee Year of Hope, and as such they are offering guest speakers on the topic of hope as we lean into this beautiful theological virtue this Jubilee Year. How awesome is that?! I am honored to be one of the speakers on this important topic.
Hope is so important, yet it can be easy to despair, especially with everything going on in today’s world. If you’re anything like me, you’ve hoped for things that never happened, and that left you disappointed. What, then, did St. Paul mean when he said that “hope does not disappoint” in Romans 5?
I’m going to unpack that question and my personal journey with St. Paul’s words in a relatable way as we journey together to better understand the particular hope that Christ calls us all to, and what that means for our lives today. Hope to see you there! [No pun intended there. ;)]
