Hello friends in Christ! I’m thrilled to share that I will be giving the Advent mission at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Kenner December 1-3 at 7:00 p.m. This will be the first time I’m presenting on Advent, so this will be new material, so I’m very excited to do this!
How do we have hope in the waiting, whether in the season of Advent or in life? I will discuss the challenges of waiting, as well as what God is inviting us to do in the waiting so that waiting is spiritually fruitful instead of being a passive passage of time. I will unpack how Christian hope sustains us as we enter into the stillness, simplicity, and yearning that are the season of Advent. I will also present tangible things to do in our prayer lives this Advent so that we are ready to welcome Jesus in a deeper way at Christmas.
Please join us as we rest our souls from the busyness of life and enter into the stillness of Advent! The mission which will take place in the OLPH school cafeteria since the church renovations are not yet completed. Enter on the 5th Street side of the school through the blue double doors. Hope to see you there!
